Francesca Mosmea is an Italian artist who creates sculptures out of textiles. Each of her miniature animals is meticulously sewn and painted by hand. Her designs are often inspired by her walks in the woods and old fairytales. With each stitch and painted line, Mosmea brings her tiny animals to life. Her hares immediately brought to mind the story of the Velveteen Rabbit. What a joy to imagine these little creatures bounding off when unattended by humans.

Pick from one of the first two images I have shared and take a close look at the photograph. What materials do you think the artist used? Name as many different colors of thread, fabric, etc as possible.
