An Update

Hello readers!

If you follow along on Instagram, you’ll know I had to take about a week off from this blog to really determine what I needed to change in order to make it a more sustainable endeavor. To that end, I am sharing the work of one artist per week, a different piece each day, and will post a summary with questions (possibly activities) on Fridays.

This will allow me to maximize my energy, since Instagram really is a more organic means of sharing images. Crafting each blog post was taking 30-60 minutes per day. That is lots of mental energy that I could use to create my own work!

This week I am sharing the work of quilt artist Bisa Butler, so keep your eyes out for tomorrow’s post! To make sure you never miss content, sign up for the mailing list.

The contrast between warm and cool colors in this piece by @bisabutler is so striking! Plus, look at all those colors that comprise the figure's skin tone! Truly phenomenal. . . . . #artblog #curatedforkids #textileart #figureart #portraitart #portraitquilt #newyorkartist #brooklynartist
